WELLS – Clara M, 74, of 231 42nd Ave, North died Saturday January 26.  Mrs. Wells was born in Waveland, Indiana and moved to St. Petersburg in 1934 from there. She was a seamstress and the past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 39; life member of the Women’s auxiliary of the Military Order of Cooties; State Treasurer of the Grand Cootiette Club of Florida and the Treasurer and Past Grand President of MOCA District 9. She is survived by 2 cousins, Vera Hobbs & Edith Sutton both of Richmond Hill, Georgia. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday Jan 28 at the Wilhelm-Thurston Funeral Home, 145 8th St, North where services will be conducted by VFW Auxiliary 6827 at 7:00 p.m and the Grand Cootiette Club of Florida at 7:30 p.m. Religious services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Wilhelm-Thurston Chapel with the Rev. John W. Craven officiating. Interment will take place at Waveland, Ind. - kbz
